Spread the Word

Please tell as many people as possible! You can share this on your Facebook page, link to this website on your blog, Tweet about me, or just talk through Chat button to the left and e-mail about my need with your family and friends. The more people who know, the more likely it is we’ll find that one special person. Ask any celebrities you know to mention it online! Please send suggestions to Debbie at debbie_arbogast@yahoo.com

Hang Posters

Help spread the word at your place of worship, coffee shop, grocery store, work, gym, etc., by hanging posters. You can download a PDF version here.

Other Ways To Help

  • You can launch a You Tube video telling Debbie's story & weekly update.

  • If you are affiliated with a Religious Organization, we can provide you with a packet of information to share with your spiritual community to educate them about the need for organ donors. The LKDN has helped us and has an initiative to reach fraternal and religious organization. http://www.lkdn.org/nDDCampaign/index.html

  • If you have any contacts with schools, most have newsletter. We will give you a copy of Debbie's story. They might be interested in writing about Debbie's need.

  • Spring To Action - Rally and Canvassing Campaign (Tuesdays or Saturdays) will take place in June & July. If you would like to help organize this event contact us and we will provide more information and materials.

  • We have large Sandwich Boards tell Debbie's story.  If anyone would be willing to volunteer their time to walk a high traffic area wearing the sandwich board we will discuss the details. This has been successful for others.

  • We want to advertise on a Billboard.  If anyone has contacts with people who own those advertising billboards.

  • Any Radio, Television or Print contacts would be of help. If you know a journalist they might want to do a story about Debbie. There are stories written every day about someone’s need.

  • Let us know if you want to staff a Debbie's Table at a local event. religious function, farmer's market, art fair etc.

  • If you know Debbie and can Write a 2 paragraph story/article about her we will post it on our website.

  • Do you have any connections with a celebrity that uses Facebook or Twitter? Some have posted a fans need to the thousands that follow their tweets. This has been very successful way in getting the word out.

  • If you have any Airport Advertising contacts we would like to explore them.

  • If you belong to a Health Club and would be willing to ask them to display our information we can get you a packet of info and a flyer that we developed.

  • The flyer we have on our "Ways To Help" page on my website, can be Downloaded, printed & displayed on any public bulletin board. Libraries, coffee shops, Starbuck has one and any other locations that have a bulletin board.

Every FB Share Can Raise $37!

A literal "life saver". I can't tell you how much ANY and EVERY contribution, no matter how big or small, will mean to me. I'm so incredibly grateful for the support, prayers and positive thoughts of so many friends, and even total strangers. And this fundraiser will help to propell me through the final, and most crucial stage of this unexpected adventure.

Undergoing major surgery and months of recovery, while holding my breath that the new kidney will work, puts enough stress on my coping skills. The added stress of only my Husbands income to support myself & our family during this time, along with no means to cover significant  out-of-pocket expenses incidental to transplantation, creates a situation that puts a healthy recovery in jeopardy. Please help us reach our goal so that I may get the pre-treatments, transplant & post Treatments I desperately need. My grandmother died from this disease, please help us write a different story for Me and myfamily,  A kidney transplant costs approximately $250,000. Even with health insurance, I face significant medical expenses related to my transplant. For the rest of my life, I will need follow-up care and daily anti-rejection medications. The cost of post-transplant medications can range from $2,000 to $5,000 per month, and they are as critical to his survival as the transplant itself.

To overcome these financial challenges, I turned to the  Go Fund Me Foundation for Transplants for assistance. Go Fund Me is a nonprofit organization that helps transplant patients raise funds to pay for transplant-related expenses.
